GOPELC (an ERASMUS+ project) addresses the most important issues that the Lebanese society and the Lebanese Higher educational system are fronting in the domain of Oil and Gas Industry.
Dr. Rami Harkouss, who represented “Beirut Arab University” in the kick-off meeting on March 2016, participated in the first upstream petroleum workshop that has been held in Ploiesti-Romania from 27/06/2016 till 02/07/2016. Several modules and presentations were discussed in different topics of petroleum economics, geology, drilling and production engineering.
During his journey, Dr. Harkouss also visited the “Petrom” oil company, which operates one of the most important production site near Ploiesti city, where Thermal EOR (Steam injection) is applied to enhance the oil production rate of Romania.
