Student branch of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)

ASME-BAU Branch was revived in the fall of the year 2016-2017 under the patronage of the chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. Ali Hammoud. The chapter’s advisor, Dr. Mohamad Darwiche, made sure since day one that the chapter is an active one and encouraged most of the mechanical engineering students into being a part of the ASME family.

The ASME committee then consisted of the president Mr. Ahmad Miaary, Mr. Hady Osaily as vice president, Mr. Ahmad Majari as Treasurer, Mr. Fadi Ghoush as Secretary, Ms. Israa Azzam and Dana Yamani as activity managers, and Mr. Saad Darazi in charge of recruitments. The team with the vital help of Dr. Mohammad Darwich played a huge role in introducing students to ASME goals and fields and planned the various events.
