“Balsam” the name says it all!
The ASCE student chapter at Beirut Arab University organized a lecture to shed light on the definition and the significant role of palliative care. The event included a talk by Alaa Hissi, a BAU student and a member of the ASCE student chapter.
Alaa shared her personal experience with the case of her mother who suffered from cancer. She explained how Balsam supported her mother and her family during the entire journey.
Then Ms. Doughan, a delegate from Balsam - a center of palliative care., explained Balsam’s mission and how it continuously helps in relieving patients through holistic support.
At the end, the ASCE student chapter donated the funds raised in the bake sale to Balsam as a support to the love and care that is added to the patients’ lives throughout Balsam’s support.
