On the 27th of March, the Nursing Department in the Faculty of Health Sciences at BAU held a seminar titled: “Qualitative research: Let’s Get the Facts about Feeling”. The seminar was presented by Dr Nancy Sullivan, assistant professor of nursing and the simulation laboratory manager at John Hopkins School of Nursing. The seminar took the form of an informal discussion where audience interacted about the main features and elements of qualitative research and shared their experiences in this field. The comparison to quantitative research was a main discussion and the audience voiced their preferences and what they thought was more feasible in terms of research conduct. At the end of the seminar, the audience divided themselves into groups and practiced putting themes to a research topic on nursing students attitudes to simulation education.
