The Nursing Department at the Faculty of Health proudly announces that Dr. Hiba Deek has been elected as vice-president of the Chi Iota Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI). The STTI is the most prestigious honor society for nurses internationally aimed at bringing together a global community of nurse leaders. The Chi Iota chapter was formed in 2014 at the American University of Beirut where Dr. Hiba, pursuing her MSN at the time, joined as a member then as a treasurer of the board and then the chair of the Awards and recognition committee of the regional chapter of the Middle East.
