Congratulation to our students from the Medical Laboratory Technology Department, Faculty of Health Sciences Abed El Latif Hamza, Marwa Mahmoud, Omar El Loush, Omar El Abiad, Reem Hassan, and Sarah El Samman under the supervision of Mrs Lama Hanbali for winning the 1st Price at IBDAA 2023 competition on Research and Innovation for their initiative ‘Beeswax as a potential alternative for paraffin waste in Histopathology- a case study from BAU-FHS.
The 17th IBDAA (International Biodiversity Day) 2023 competition organized by AUB on sustainable and innovative solutions for the ‘Municipal solid waste crisis in Lebanon’ included 180 students & 77 teams from 5 universities.
The MLT department thanks Mr. Abdallah Adham from Beefarm at the Debbieh campus for the joint efforts, ideas exchanges, and for providing facilities for students to collect samples.
