Dr leila Itani, from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Faculty of Health Sciences participated within the “ERASMUS+ staff teaching mobility " by delivering two lectures at the University of Pavia (Italy) – Department of Public Health, Experimental and Forensic Medicine – Laboratory of Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition. Two lectures were delivered to the 2nd level Master Degree in "Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition” on March 21st and 22nd 2024. The lectures focused on the nutrition in first 1000 days, complimentary feeding and weaning, and followed by presentation and discussion of case studies about pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Dr. leila Itani, from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Faculty of Health Sciences participated as a keynote speaker in Winter School event at University of Pavia entitled: “Measuring Health and Nutrition Transition Considering The Role of Pollution and Biodiversity”. Through the event Dr. Itani participated in two activities. First, participated as a keynote speaker in the round table webinar entitled: “Imaging Global Health in a Less Polluted Earth”. Through the Webinar Dr. Itani delivered a talk entitled: “ How to Quantify The Influence of Pollution and Climate Change on Food Security”. In the second activity, Dr. Itani participated as a tutor in the Journal club entitled:” How do you measure Biodiversity, pollution, climate change and GBD? Through the journal club Dr. Itani participated as a tutor in the discussion of the topic entitled: “ Biodiversity to Build Resilience for Food safety and Security in an Urban Environment”.
Dr. leila Itani, from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Faculty of Health Sciences delivered on 18th of March 2024, an invited lecture at Department of Biomedical, Metabolic and Neural Sciences – University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (main campus) in Italy. The lecture was entitled:” Sustainable Healthy Dietary Patterns” and was attended by Nutrition and Dietetics students and Medical Residents in Food Sciences as well as academic staff and colleagues.
