Dr. Gamal Megahid, Assistant Professor at the Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Arts, attended the preparatory workshops for trainers, held in Qatar from 25th to 27th November 2012. At the end of the workshops, Dr. Megahid was certified as an approved trainer. These workshops were held in preparation for the participation of BAU for the first time in the Second International Universities Arabic Debating League, due to be held from 21st to 24th April 2013. The competition seeks to advance the art of debating, and implementing it as a significant educational tool. The competition further aims to enhance students' critical thinking and research skills, while at the same time cultivating their linguistic skills and developing their leadership qualities.
