The Faculty of Pharmacy was awarded a full international accreditation status from the CCAPP (Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs) in December 2017 for a 5year-term.
This historical achievement is the culmination of great efforts that were initiated in the year 2011 in the Faculty, under the leadership of Prof. Abdalla El-Lakany, Dean of the Faculty, to reform its undergraduate curriculum. These reform aimed to meet international standards of Pharmacy education and to address the changing needs of the profession.
The Faculty of Pharmacy at BAU is the first and only, in Lebanon and the region, to have its undergraduate program being accredited by an international authority.
CCAPP is the sole Pharmacy program accreditation authority in Canada. International Accreditation status is the highest level of recognition that CCAPP can award to a pharmacy program running aboard.
