It is a great honor and privilege to serve as Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Beirut Arab University. I am proud to lead a vibrant academic community of distinguished faculty members, dedicated staff, talented students, and accomplished alumni, all of whom contribute to the continued growth, excellence, and reputation of our Faculty.

The Faculty of Pharmacy is committed to excellence in pharmaceutical education, scientific research, professional practice, and community engagement. Our mission extends beyond providing knowledge; we seek to educate future pharmacists, scientists, and healthcare leaders who are competent, innovative, ethical, and prepared to respond to the rapidly evolving needs of healthcare and society.

At the heart of our educational philosophy is a student-centered approach that promotes critical thinking, scientific inquiry, lifelong learning, leadership, professionalism, and collaboration. Our undergraduate pharmacy program provides an integrated foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, clinical sciences, and professional practice, combining rigorous academic education with practical and experiential learning. Through continuous curriculum development and benchmarking against national and international standards, we ensure that our graduates are equipped with the knowledge, competencies, and professional values required for contemporary pharmacy practice. Our continued accreditation by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) reflects our strong commitment to academic quality, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.

Our PharmD program further advances our commitment to clinical pharmacy education and patient-centered care. It prepares highly competent clinical pharmacists to work collaboratively as integral members of multidisciplinary healthcare teams, with a strong focus on optimizing therapeutic outcomes, promoting medication safety, improving the quality of care, and supporting the effective and responsible use of healthcare resources.

At the postgraduate level, the Faculty offers Master’s and PhD programs across diverse areas of pharmaceutical sciences, recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Lebanon. Supported by experienced researchers, advanced laboratory facilities, and expanding national and international collaborations, our postgraduate programs foster innovative, interdisciplinary, and impactful research. We encourage our researchers and postgraduate students to address emerging challenges in pharmaceutical sciences, drug development and quality, healthcare, and patient care while contributing meaningfully to the advancement of scientific knowledge.

Research and innovation are central to our vision for the future. The Faculty continues to strengthen its research capacity, scientific publications, international collaborations, and participation in national and international initiatives. We are particularly committed to embracing emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and digital transformation, and to integrating them responsibly into pharmaceutical education, research, and professional practice.

Looking ahead, our strategic priorities are clear: to further enhance the quality and internationalization of our academic programs; strengthen research, innovation, and postgraduate education; expand meaningful partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare organizations, industry, and professional bodies; embrace technological advancement; and increase our contribution to the health and well-being of our communities.
