Beirut Arab University, Faculty of Pharmacy represented by Pharm D team, participated in the Cancer Awareness Village 2020 organized by Barbara Nassar Association, on 28 and 29 of February at the Forum of Beirut.
The team included Pharm D students and preceptors namely; Dr. Chaza Alaeddine and Dr. Zeina Kabbout, under the supervision of Dr. Souraya Domiati, the Pharm D coordinator. Leukemia prevalence, risk factors, signs and symptoms, prevention and other information were presented to the visitors through posters, counseling, and games. At the end of the visit, the participants were asked to write a word representing anyone fighting leukemia and then the paper was hanged to the tree of hope. To capture the memory, an instant picture of the participants was taken. A bracelet was also distributed as many as other souvenirs.
