Student activity committee at BAU in collaboration with the fifth level pharmacy students organized the pharmacy reception night for the academic year 2014-2015 that took place on Monday 17 November 2014 in Phoenicia Hotel.
Over 100 Faculty members and pharmacy students from all levels attended this annual event. This gathering aimed to welcome the first level students and to build connections between pharmacy students from all levels.
Representatives from the fifth level pharmacy students, Mohammad Ladkani and Rami Al Ajouz, opened the event by thanking the attendees for sharing this memorable event with them. In their speech, they acknowledged the values they had acquired throughout the previous years in the Faculty of Pharmacy and manifested their appreciation to the Faculty members who supported them in their academic life and were their mentors and role models.
In his words, Prof. Abdalla El Lakany, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, welcomed the first level students. He also expressed his expectations that the seniors would uphold the ethical principles and adhere to laws during their professional practice in future. At the end, he thanked the Faculty members for their tremendous efforts to prepare the students to become competent pharmacists in the different career domains.
Prof. Amr Jalal Al Adawi had a brief speech about the important role of the Faculty of Pharmacy in BAU in the advancement of the pharmacy profession at the national and the regional level. This was evident by the huge number of graduates who held leading positions in various pharmacy domains.
Doha Masri, first level pharmacy student, presented a touching poem about her dream and eagerness to become a pharmacy student at BAU. She also revealed how she was enjoying every moment she spent in the university and her excitement for the new friendships she gained since joining the faculty.
Finally, a memorial video for pharmacy students in all levels was presented and then the attendees enjoyed having dinner and the party started.
