On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Beirut Arab University (BAU) signed a partnership agreement with the Lebanese Pharmacy Students’ Association (LPSA), marking an important milestone in strengthening collaboration and supporting students’ academic, professional, and personal development.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Azza Ghazy, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, on behalf of BAU, and Mr. Mohamad Hashem, President of LPSA, and Ms. Fatima Merhi, Vice President of LPSA, representing the Association.

The event also featured an orientation session introducing students to LPSA, its mission, activities, and opportunities for engagement. Ms. Zainab Amin, Chairperson of the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO), presented an overview of IPSF and highlighted its role in connecting pharmacy students worldwide through international initiatives, professional development opportunities, and collaborative activities.

The program also included contributions from the BAU LPSA team, Ms. Malak Ammar, the Faculty representative, and the LPSA Catalysts representing different academic levels: Rama Harb, Soulaf Kassem, Marina Kanso, and Lara Azar. Their participation highlighted the importance of student representation, active involvement, and peer engagement in enriching the university experience.

To complement the session, an LPSA information booth was organized, featuring interactive activities and games that encouraged student participation. The booth also provided an opportunity for students to share their ideas, express their interests, and offer suggestions for future activities.

Through this partnership, the Faculty of Pharmacy at BAU reaffirms its commitment to fostering student engagement, promoting leadership and professional development, and creating opportunities for meaningful collaboration with student organizations at both the national and international levels.
