Due to the need for a drug quality control laboratory, along with the expansion of counterfeit drugs, the Faculty of Pharmacy has recently joined a project entitled “Improvement of Quality Control of Medications in Lebanon”. The project is supported and funded by “L’Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie” (AUF) in collaboration with “Fondation Pierre Fabre” (FPF).
The project aims to expand the service of Drug Quality Control to fulfill the national needs for drug analyses and maintain high quality pharmaceutical products.
In light of this collaboration, the Faculty hosted the project’s officials on September 26th, 2023. The team visited the “Drug Quality Control” Lab at the Faculty, which is one of the ISO certified reference Labs in Lebanon. During the tour, the team explored the existing technologies and capabilities of the laboratory. This was followed by a comprehensive discussion to start the project’s implementation.
