Under the patronage of the president of BAU, Prof. Dr. Amr Galal El-Adawi, and in the presence of the secretary general Dr. Omar Houri, Faculties’ deans and students, the Faculty of pharmacy organized a Digital Health Demo Day Event, entitled “Health Tech Innovations Toward Modern and Sustainable Healthcare in Lebanon”. The Demo Day was held on 2 December 2022, during which senior pharmacy students have presented four promising startups relevant to digital health that are of prime importance for a sustainable healthcare system. The projects that were supervised by Dr. Nassim Midani (Clinical pharmacist and Digital Health Expert) tackled specific problems in the pharmaceutical or health industry, and highlighted customized solutions that are market fit and validated with potential customers. The Faculty hosted BAU academic and administrative staff, as well as leaders from different pharmaceutical sectors and stakeholders, where they have explored students’ health tech innovations and shared with them their visions.
