Dr. Karim M. Raafat, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy, Beirut Arab University, has given an oral presentation entitled "Phytochemical and biological investigations of Crocus sativus cultivated in the University botanical garden" in the International Conference on “Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Sciences” (PHS 2019) held in Hilton Green Plaza, Alexandria, Egypt on 6-7 November 2019.
The oral presentation included his latest research in Faculty of Pharmacy, Beirut Arab University, and the cooperation with the University botanical garden. He discussed diabetes and its related complications as a serious threat to public health in all parts of the world especially, Lebanon and the Middle East. Moreover, he emphasized the leading role of Beirut Arab University and Faculty of Pharmacy in acquiring International accreditations. Beirut Arab University and his presentation took significant appreciation from the crowd and the valuable attending scientists.
