Dr. Rania Itani delivered a keynote address at the 5th IVPN Pharmacy Conference

Dr. Rania Itani, Clinical Lecturer at the Pharmacy Practice Department, was a speaker in the 5th IVPN Pharmacy Conference, which was organized by Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. The event was held on 15-16 November 2019 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.


The conference that was attended by national and international healthcare professionals, focused, this year, on best practices in ambulatory pharmacy and transition of care management. During this conference, Dr. Itani presented a talk entitled “Optimizing Public Health through Social Engagement, BAU Initiative”. In her talk, She discussed the community outreach program implemented by the Faculty of Pharmacy through sharing the Faculty best practices in serving the community. She also emphasized on the pharmacist’s valuable and unique role in empowering the community through raising knowledge on some health issues, promoting good practices in the medication use, and optimizing therapy outcomes.


At the end of the conference, Dr. Itani was awarded a trophy and an appreciation certificate for her valuable contribution to the 5th IVPN Pharmacy Conference.
