Dr. Safaa Hammoud participated in the Experimental Biology conference that was held in USA-Orlando between the dates of April 6-9, 2019.
EB is an annual meeting of five societies bringing together more than 12,000 scientists in one inter-disciplinary community. The American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) is one of the societies participating in EB.
Dr. Hammoud have submitted this year an abstract of the research work done in collaboration with American University of Beirut entitled ‘Metabolic Stress-Induced Renal Endothelial Dysfunction’ which was presented as a poster.
Moreover, she was selected to present her work as a poster at the 2019 ASPET Student/Postdoc Poster Competition among 899 pharmacology posters. During which, a jury of six judges discussed the research hypothesis, methods and future works though out her oral presentation.
Upon that, Dr. Hammoud was later granted by the division of Cardiovascular Pharmacology of ASPET the First Place Postdoc Poster Award.
