On Thursday, May 16, 2024, the Faculty of Pharmacy successfully conducted the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for its graduating students. This crucial examination is a key requirement for graduation, ensuring pharmacy graduates possess the necessary clinical skills. The OSCE uses realistic simulation scenarios to test students' abilities in patient care, with various interactive stations focusing on different skills, particularly in managing common chronic medical conditions. This thorough approach ensures that graduates are well-prepared for real-world clinical settings.
Dr. Rania Itani, the coordinator for Pharmacy Practice Experience V/VI, designed and organized the OSCE with a team of qualified assessors and well-trained mock patients who helped create realistic and challenging scenarios for the students. A special guest, General Pharmacist Ali Hussein, Head of the Central Military Pharmacy, attended the event. General Hussein observed and monitored the flow and execution of OSCE, and provided valuable feedback.
The successful completion of the OSCE marks a significant milestone in the academic journey of the pharmacy students, affirming their readiness to enter the professional field with confidence and competence.
