On October 23, 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Beirut Arab University, in collaboration with the Makhzoumi Foundation, organized an educational session for patients with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus.

The session, held at the Makhzoumi Foundation Primary Healthcare Center, was delivered by senior pharmacy students under the supervision of their Faculty Preceptor, Dr. Mohamad Abdallah.

Participants, including patients and their parents, learned about the disease, its potential complications, recognition and management of hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia, therapeutic approaches, and proper insulin administration techniques. The session also highlighted the importance of healthy dietary practices for maintaining normal blood sugar levels and concluded with an interactive questions and answers discussion.
