On Tuesday, 24 of September 2019, University President Prof. Amr Galal El Adawi met first year students at the Faculty of Pharmacy. After a brief introduction of the President and its achievements by the Dean, the President welcomed the first year students and congratulated them for being accepted to study at BAU, one of the most prestigious universities in Lebanon and the Region. He continued by introducing the University policies with regards to adopting innovative student-centered teaching and learning approaches, student engagement in the decision making process, and University services. He also encouraged students to actively engage in the university life, including extracurricular activities, university committees and volunteer working, to be future leaders able to assume their professional roles. He finally emphasized on the expanded role of the pharmacist in the health care system to be an effective partner in the patient care process. The meeting ended by an open discussion, where the President answered and discussed some inquiries raised by students in different academic and non- academic matters.
