Description of Subtheme:

The subtheme "Illness and Therapy" focuses on understanding the etiology of various illnesses and exploring therapeutic interventions to improve patient outcomes. This subtheme encompasses a wide range of research areas, including the study of disease mechanisms, diagnostic methods, treatment strategies, Alternative therapies, self-care practices, and medication adherence among patients with chronic conditions. By investigating illness and therapy, our researchers aim to enhance our understanding of diseases, improve the overall quality of healthcare, and improve patient outcomes.

Research Action Plan:

Investigate the underlying disease mechanisms.

Develop and evaluate new diagnostic tools and techniques to improve early detection and accurate diagnosis of various illnesses.

Investigate the impact of healthcare policies on illness management and therapy outcomes.

Identify gaps in these patients' medical and nursing management and outline the impact of this management on their outcomes.

Identify challenges faced by patients with chronic conditions in maintaining their wellbeing through optimal self-care and self-management.

Define the education gaps to the patients with chronic health conditions.

Study the potential of alternative treatments such as stem cell-based therapy in combating conditions like obesity, diabetes and bacterial infections.
